Area Guides
Detailed guides to Amman's most prestigious districts and Jordan's coastal living destinations.

Amman
Al Abdali is the city's purpose-built modern downtown, anchored by the open-air Boulevard, Abdali Mall, and a cluster of office and residential towers. Originally redeveloped on the former bus terminal site, it now hosts banks, ministries, hotels, and serviced apartments alongside cafés and event spaces. The area is one of the most pedestrian-friendly parts of Amman thanks to the Boulevard's wide promenade, which fills up with diners and event crowds in the evening. It's also one of the easiest places to live without a car if you work in central Amman.
Reachable from the Sport City Circle and King Hussein Street. Multi-storey parking under Abdali Mall and the Boulevard. The area is served by Amman BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) and is walking distance to several embassies and ministries.

Amman
Abdoun sits on a plateau in west Amman and has been the city's diplomatic quarter for decades. Wide, tree-lined avenues, low-density villas, and a slow residential pace define the area, while a steady stream of embassies and ambassadorial residences gives the neighborhood its distinct character. Abdoun is also one of Amman's most desirable addresses for upscale apartments and family villas. The streets around the Sheraton Hotel and Abdoun Mall mix high-end residential with cafés, specialty grocers, and clinics - practical for daily life without losing the area's quiet feel.
Abdoun is bordered by Deir Ghbar to the south and Sweifieh to the west. Taxis are the easiest way in and out; on-street parking is plentiful outside school hours. Most amenities are within a short drive - Abdoun Mall, Taj Mall, and the Cozmo supermarket area are all minutes away.

Amman
Sweifieh is the city's longstanding retail and dining heart, sitting just west of Abdoun. Al-Wakalat Street (the pedestrianized brand strip) anchors the neighborhood, surrounded by Sweifieh Village, mid-block apartment buildings, and a rotating cast of cafés that fill up well past midnight. The area is one of the easiest to reach by car or taxi from anywhere in west and central Amman, and it draws a wide crowd - families during the day, students and young professionals at night. Residential demand here favors apartments above retail floors and small block-corner villas for landlords seeking strong rental yields.
Sweifieh is bordered by Abdoun to the east and Tla' Al-Ali to the north. Multi-storey parking on Al-Wakalat Street and underground at Sweifieh Village. Friday evenings and Ramadan nights run busy - plan extra time.

Amman
Tala Bay is a master-planned coastal resort on the Red Sea about 14 km south of central Aqaba. The development was built as a second-home and vacation enclave, mixing villas, beachfront apartments, and a cluster of family hotels (Mövenpick, Radisson Blu, InterContinental) around a private marina and palm-lined promenade. For the property market, Tala Bay is the best-known holiday-home address on Jordan's coast - apartments here are bought as seasonal residences or income-generating rentals during peak winter and summer seasons. The enclave is gated, with its own internal road network and on-site amenities.
Tala Bay is reached by the Aqaba Coastal Road south from central Aqaba (about 15-20 minutes). Visitors enter through a security gate; on-site shuttles run between the resorts and beach areas.
